Caldo de Camarão (Shrimps Soup)


– 2 kg of shrimps
– 1 kg of mature tomatoes
– 1 onion
– 2 garlic cloves
– 1 kg of cassava
– 0,5 kg of banana
– 1 kg of potatoes
– 0,5 dl of olive oil
– 3 coffee spoons of chili
– salt to taste
1- Cook the shrimps in water and salt and peel them. Keep the heads and the water from cooking.
2- Fry the sliced onion, the chopped garlic cloves, the chopped tomatoes, the sliced bananas, the cassava and potatoes cut into cubes and the chili on the olive oil. Fry the shrimps in this pan for a bit.
3- Smash the heads of the shrimps, mix them in the water from cooking and staunch it. Add the staunched water to the pan where the shrimps are. Add water enough to cook the vegetables. Cook until it becomes on a thick broth and serve.
